Albertsons Companies Southern Division announced that a Tom Thumb in Grapevine will close, while a nearby Albertsons in Colleyville will be remodeled and rebranded as Tom Thumb.
Christy Lara, director of public relations for Albertsons, said the timing of a lease renewal for the Grapevine location led to a decision to “better serve our customers.” She added the Colleyville location was 1 mile away.
The Albertsons at 4000 Glade Road in Colleyville is undergoing a remodel and rebranding, turning into a Tom Thumb when renovations are completed, according to a news release.
Pharmacy prescriptions at the Grapevine location will be transferred to the location at Colleyville location, according to Lara.
