Southlake’s MassageLuXe is under new ownership.
Cynthia and Ritchy Ekolo took ownership of the spa franchise in January, according to a press release. Natives of the Republic of Congo, the couple both moved to the United States with their respective families in the early 2000s. After meeting in a small church and marrying in 2016, they began a new opportunity in business ownership, the release stated.
Their small business empire includes a trucking company and financial consulting firm. After the COVID-19 pandemic began, they were inspired to take on a new business—MassageLuXe.
“The pandemic has been a stressful and anxious time for everyone,” Cynthia said in the release. “We realized the importance of self-care and how beneficial it is to our overall physical and mental health. So, we decided to open a business focused on health and wellness that could enhance the lives of the people in our community.”
