A panel of school board members recently selected Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Superintendent Robin Ryan as the Region 11 Superintendent of the Year for 2018. A state winner from the regional winners will be announced Sept. 28. Ryan has served GCISD as superintendent for nearly seven years. His experience in education spans more than 30 years, serving as a teacher and coach in Hurst-Euless-Bedford and Graham ISDs; a principal in Carroll ISD and GCISD; and chief academic officer and area superintendent in Dallas ISD.
