TxDOT repaves I-35 strip in Georgetown, Round Rock work expected in May

The Texas Department of Transportation performed pavement repairs to a small strip of I-35 in Georgetown in late April.

Residents in Round Rock can expect similar repairs to I-35 in May, a TxDOT spokesperson said in an email to Community Impact.

What’s different?

The April repairs were to the northbound and southbound main lanes of I-35 by Westinghouse Road. The middle and right northbound main lanes received pavement patches to just north of the overpass, along with the middle southbound main lane.

What’s next?

Weather permitting, TxDOT crews will be making similar repairs to the southbound I-35 main lanes between Chisholm Parkway and the exit for RM 620 in May, the TxDOT official said.
