A new traffic pattern is in effect for the intersection of Rockride Lane and Sam Houston Avenue in Georgetown after a four-way stop sign was installed the week of Sept. 16.

Residents can expect more construction at the intersection in months to come, as the city anticipates replacing the four-way stop with a traffic signal. Construction is anticipated to begin in March, according to a timeline on Georgetown’s ClearGov website.
Previously, the intersection had a two-way stop for Rockride Lane’s traffic, according to information from the city. On Sept. 23, construction started for installing a temporary traffic signal, which is scheduled to be completed the week of Oct. 21.
