Georgetown officials celebrated the completion of a project to expand DB Wood Road from Hwy. 29 to Oak Ridge Road at a July 22 ribbon cutting.
About the project
The city began construction on the 1.4-mile section of DB Wood in the fall of 2023, expanding the road to four lanes with a median and shared-use path.
The $27.6 million project was funded through Georgetown’s 2015 transportation bond, and is the last project to be completed as part of the bond.
