Georgetown drivers to expect closures on Lakeway Drive from March-May

Lane closures and full road closures on Lakeway Drive will begin March 3 from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and wrap up by May 5.

Current situation

Short-term detours will be in place for any full road closures, according to an email from the city.

The closures on Lakeway Drive will start at Williams Drive and go through Northwest Boulevard.

Zooming out

The closures come as Pedernales Electric Cooperative electricians plan to install a new overhead electrical line for the South Lake Water Treatment Plant, which will come online this summer.
