From attending a western-themed fundraiser to trying new outdoor adventures, community members have a range of activities to look forward to in the area during May. Events details are subject to change. This list is not comprehensive.

Stargazing
Volunteers from the Williamson County Astronomy Club will help attendees view stars with telescopes and cameras. Participants are welcome to bring chairs or blankets.
May
“Our Lady of the Tortilla”
Written by Luis Santeiro, the play tells the story of the Cruz family who is “volatile even in the best of times.” When a family member sees the face of the Holy Virgin in a tortilla, a group of believers and reporters camp on the family’s lawn to await future miracles.

Texas Whitewater Adventure
Individuals are welcome to head to a scenic Texas Hill Country River where they will enjoy whitewater rafting. Experienced and beginner paddlers ages 12 and up are welcome and can expect to learn about river safety, river reading and kayak handling.
GTACC 18th Annual Car Show
Georgetown Texas Area Car Club will host its annual event featuring raffles, 50/50 drawings, food, vendors, music and awards for best in show, participant choice and sponsor choice.
May the Fourth Be With You
Presented by Subaru of Georgetown, the event will include a jedi training course, light sabers, the Death Star and crafts provided by Georgetown Public Library. Attendees are encouraged to attend in costume to take photos with a special guest.
Saloon Night at the Museum
Attendees can spend a night with cowboy cocktails, food, saloon games, historic gambling and raffles. The evening will raise funds for The Williamson Museum.
¡Viva!
The Bluebonnet Philharmonic Orchestra will perform cultural pieces including "Carmen Suite No.1” by Georges Bizet, Astor Piazzola's "Libertango" and Leonard Bernstein's "Mambo" from West Side Story.
Lake Travis Paddle and Rappel
Participants will start the day kayaking along Pace Bend Park before ending the activity with a rappel down a cliff. Rappelling gear, kayaks, paddles and lifejackets will be provided.
‘Give a Kid a Box’ book signing
Local actress and author Kristin McKenzie Rice will speak about her book, conduct signings and lead crafts with children in attendance. Her book illustrates the power of a child’s imagination.
Renegade Revival Music Fest
Community members can gather downtown to experience country and rock-and-roll music. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, a nonprofit which works to provide affordable healthcare for greater Austin low-income musicians.
