Trash and recycling collections in Frisco will remain paused Feb. 4 due to persistent snow and ice on roads, according to the city. Certain city facilities will also see closures Feb. 4.
About 2-3 inches of snow and sleet are expected to accumulate across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, according to the National Weather Service. Below-freezing temperatures are expected to continue through Feb. 5.
At 10 a.m. on Feb. 5, trash-only collections for residents who normally have pickup on Thursday are expected to resume at 10 a.m. Residents with Friday collections will not have bins emptied this week, according to the city.
Residents with Thursday and Friday service will be allowed to set out extra bags of trash and recycling and double the allowed amounts of compost and yard waste Feb. 11.
