Reconstruction tackling downtown Frisco’s Main Street was extended to North County Road ahead of incoming construction on Fourth Street Plaza, which is expected to begin this week, according to a Sept. 16 city news release.
The big picture
The construction has caused traffic to shift, according to the release.
Eastbound traffic was shifted to the north side of the median from First Street to North County Road where traffic was shifted back to the south side. That system will remain in place until the next traffic switch in a few months.
The road work also closed multiple smaller streets south of Main Street, including Sixth Street and Seventh Street. A portion of Third Street between Elm Street and Half Main Street also closed, according to the release.
