Upcoming projects
1. Teel Parkway widening
Project: The project will widen Teel Parkway from two lanes to four lanes from Stafford Middle School to Olive Branch Drive.
Update: The project is in the design phase and construction is expected to start later this year.
2. Legacy Drive widening
Project: The construction will widen and reconstruct the roadway from Lebanon Road to Stonebrook Parkway and Stonebrook Parkway from Legacy Drive to 4th Army Drive.
Update: The project is in the planning phase with construction expected to start next year.
3. Ohio Drive at Wade Boulevard roundabout
Project: A new roundabout will be added to the corner of Ohio Drive and Wade Boulevard.
Update: The project is currently in the planning phase.
Ongoing projects
4. Panther Creek Parkway construction
Project: The project runs Panther Creek Parkway from Dallas North Tollway to Preston Road. The project will create a new six-lane roadway to fill the last remaining gap of Panther Creek Parkway in Frisco.
Update: The contractor is working on improvements to the storm drain, water line and sanitary sewer line. Roughly 70% of the improvements to the storm drainage infrastructure is complete, according to a January engineering council report. Paving is anticipated to begin early this year.
5. Hillcrest Road construction
Project: The roadway will create a four lane divided roadway.
Update: The project is under construction and will be completed later this year.
6. Mahard Parkway construction
Project: The project will construct a six lane roadway from PGA Parkway to US 380.
Update: The project is under construction after bidding in late 2024. The road will be part of the Firefly Park development.
Completed projects
7. Gartner Road traffic signal installation
Project: A new traffic signal was added to the intersection of Main Street and Gartner Road.
Update: The light was activated in December, according to a January engineering council report. It will serve the existing Grove neighborhood on the south side of Main Street and the future Grove neighborhood on the north side with sales opening in early 2025.
