Portions of Gaylord Parkway will be closed as construction happens on a new roundabout at the Ohio Drive intersection in Frisco.
For the past three months, northbound and southbound traffic has shared the east half of Ohio Drive. Traffic has now shifted as of July 9, so both directions will use the west half of the road, according to a July 8 city news release.

Gaylord Parkway will be closed east of Ohio Drive, meaning the roadway is closed on both sides of Ohio Drive.
The closures and traffic shifts are expected to remain for about five months, according to the release.
For the past three months, other closures have been in place and will remain in place as construction continues. According to the release:

A roundabout already exists at the Ohio Drive and Warren Parkway intersection just north of Gaylord Parkway.
The project will add a roundabout to the Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway intersection. This is part of Frisco’s ongoing safety and mobility improvements, according to the city’s website. It will be done in two phases, with Phase 1 constructing the southbound lane of Ohio Drive and the second phase constructing the northbound lane of Ohio Drive.
Construction started in March 2026 and is expected to be completed in early 2027. The project costs $3.5 million, with funding coming from the city and external funding sources, according to the city’s Capital Improvement Projects site.
