Various lanes closed on Stonebrook, Main Street for road projects

Road projects on Main Street and Stonebrook Parkway means lane closures in the two areas.

Various sections of Main Street between Hillcrest Road and Independence Parkway will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for a Texas Department of Transportation road widening project.

Only one section of Main Street will be affected at a time throughout the day. Flaggers will stop traffic on either end of each closure and allow traffic in alternating directions through the single lane.

Alternate routes include Eldorado Parkway to the north or Rolater Road to the south.

Stonebrook Parkway between Dallas Parkway and Parkwood Boulevard is once again open for traffic, according to the city's public information office.

The road is not finished, however.

There will be one lane open in each direction on opposite sides of the median for the stretch of road running alongside Frisco High School.

East of Parkwood, Stonebrook will continue to have only one lane in each direction on the south half of the road.
