The Fireball Run, a live-action trivia game with 40 teams racing across the country, begins Sept. 27 with a city-wide celebration at Frisco Square. Sept. 28 is the official start of the rally.
Frisco Mayor Maher Maso and Councilman John Keating will join as one of the teams racing from Frisco to Independence, Missouri.
Each team is tasked with handing out posters of a missing child during the game. Maso and Keating will raise awareness for 7-year-old Wendy Diaz, who was last seen in Dallas on April 22, 2012.
"Fireball Run is a great opportunity for us to showcase our city," Maso said. "But more importantly, it's about helping find missing children in America. Being able to distribute thousands of posters of the North Texas missing child Wendy Diaz brings a new level of exposure to her case and, hopefully, will lead to her being found. So, we'll have fun along the way, all for a good cause."
