Sections of road closed on 4th Army Drive and Spring Creek Parkway

Two different road reconstruction projects will require detours for traffic on sections of 4th Army Drive and Spring Creek Parkway, according to the city's communications office.

Sections of 4th Army Drive will be closed from April 7 through mid-June, Alternate routes for 4th Army Drive include Teel Parkway or Legacy Drive. Drivers approaching B.F. Phillips Community Park from the north can use Teel Parkway and Timber Ridge Drive.

Spring Creek Parkway will be closed between SH 121 and Town & Country Boulevard for about six months beginning April 7.

Alternate routes for Spring Creek Parkway include Legacy Drive. Residents of Stonebriar Country Club Estates and the Stonebriar of Frisco Apartment Homes will need to use Legacy Drive and Town & Country Boulevard.

The Spring Creek road closure will allow the city of The Colony to realign Spring Creek so that it will curve to the northwest, pass under the railroad tracks and connect to Memorial Drive in The Colony. The west end of Town & Country Boulevard will also be realigned to connect to the new roadway. A new traffic signal will be installed at the new intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Town & Country Boulevard.
