Frisco ISD looking for person to be appointed to vacated board position

The replacement for Frisco ISD Board of Trustees Place 3 representative Dan Mossakowski will be named at the June 16 regular board meeting.

Trustees agreed June 2 to appoint a person to fill Mossakowski's term until the spring 2015 election. His term expires in 2016.

Mossakowski will remain an active board member until the June 16 meeting.

Frisco ISD officials are asking citizens interested in the appointment to contact Beverly Brunson, assistant to the superintendent and board, at [email protected] or 469-633-6012.

Board members are required to be registered voters and live within Frisco ISD borders.

In the May 9, 2015, election, Place 3 will be on the ballot to elect a trustee for the remaining one year of Mossakowski's term.

Mossakowski, who served the board for 10 years—four as board president and two as vice-president—announced in mid-May he would resign for family and business reasons.
