Frisco City Council members on Tuesday night will discuss and possibly act on an ordinance regulating the use of e-cigarettes anywhere smoking is prohibited.
In addition, the proposed ordinance would prohibit the "possession, purchase, consumption or receipt of electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes and/or liquid nicotine by minors"—a ban council members at an earlier meeting expressed support for.
The ordinance would make an exemption to the ban for use in a retail electronic cigarette store, although city staff members will present two different options for the exemption.
One option would require an electronic cigarette store to have an enclosed, separately ventilated room to allow customers to sample products and allow instruction on the use of products. The second option has no ventilation requirement.
