Updated 4:15 p.m., June 20 According to unofficial results, Shona Huffman has won the runoff race for Frisco City Council Place 2 with 3,136 votes, or 64.7 percent of the votes. Terri Green garnered 1,708 votes, or 35.3 percent of the votes. For Place 4, Bill Woodard won with 2,718 votes, which is 55.8 percent of the votes, and Cindy Asche received 2,150 votes, or 44.2 percent of the votes. Results are unofficial until canvassed. Woodard said he's looking forward to continuing to focus on high quality developments and parks and recreation services in Frisco. "I'm already getting emails and phone calls from people," he said. "So, I'm excited to get started on [July 1] and get to work." Huffman said now that the election is over, the real work begins to serve Frisco residents. "What I want to focus on is what we can do to help provide property tax relief and yet still maintain the high-quality services that we've all grown to expect and become accustomed to," she said. Terri Green has 1,246 votes, or 34.51 percent of the votes. For Place 4, Bill Woodard has 2,059 votes, which is 56.86 percent of the votes, and Cindy Asche has 1,562 votes, or 43.14 percent of the votes.

Place 2 candidates

Green is a Frisco resident who has spent her career as an attorney and judge. Green has been appointed to the city’s Red Light Camera Advisory Board and was elected class president of Leadership Frisco Class No. 9. Huffman currently serves as the director of governmental affairs for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. She had a 12-year teaching career teaching history and government at the high school level; and she coached speech and debate teams.

Place 4 candidates

Asche's background includes a 30-year career in emergency nursing and emergency nursing management. She has managed emergency departments, trauma centers and trauma programs in Austin and Dallas. Woodard currently serves as the Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission chairman. Woodard has also served in other civic organizations, including the City Census Committee and the Charter Review Commission.
