3 Stacks Smoke & Tap House, at 4226 Preston Road, is temporarily closed for renovations from Jan. 13-27.
The restaurant concept will be changed from its hybrid self-service and sit-down dining to a full-service concept.
"The initial concept was that diners would come through the line to order and once seated, a server would provide you with a beverage from the bar or bring you add-ons like dessert," owners Trace Arnold and Jason Hall said. "Seems Frisco and our loyal customer base is accustomed to a full-service experience and after listening to months of customers feedback, the owners have decided to give the people what they want—a full-service experience from start to finish."
Additional booths and tables will be placed in the portion of the restaurant where the cafeteria-style serving area was located. A new merchandising area is being built behind the hostess stand and will carry items such as 3 Stacks rubs and sauces.
