Presidium breaks ground on multifamily development in Frisco

Frisco Square is slated to welcome a new residential community in the summer of 2023.

Workers broke ground on Nov. 1 on the development at 5750 Cotton Gin Road, Frisco, called Presidium Frisco Square, according to a news release from Presidium, a real estate development firm.

The 337,000-square-foot community will house 368 apartment units. The complex is scheduled to open in June 2023, the release said.

“Presidium Frisco Square will add even greater value to the area’s existing infrastructure and offer residents the ability to live, work and play seamlessly in a true mixed-use development,” John Griggs, co-CEO and co-founder of Presidium, said in the release.

Griggs added that the community will have “high-end amenities chosen for modern living,” such as keyless entry, thermostats with built-in Alexa capabilities, smart light switches and energy-efficient appliances.

Dallas-based O'Brien Architects are designing the gated community. It will feature a 13,000-square-foot leasing office that encompasses a club room, golf simulator, theater room, fitness center and a co-working lounge with podcast rooms. Outdoor amenities include a rooftop terrace overlooking a pool and three courtyards with outdoor kitchens.
