BOGO gift cards are back for the Rail District.
Beginning June 1, gift cards will be available on the Yiftee digital gift card app, according to a May 27 city of Frisco news release.
The cards are buy one get one free. For example, if a person buys a $50 gift card, they will receive a $50 bonus gift card. The Frisco Community Development Corp. will cover the bonus gift card fees.
“The city of Frisco and its FCDC launched the ‘BOGO Gift Card’ last October,” Assistant City Manager Ben Brezina said in the release. “Since then, more than $950,000 in gift cards and bonus cards have been redeemed.”

These are another round of gift cards being offered as a way to support Rail District businesses as construction continues on Main Street. Construction is expected to wrap later this year.
The FCDC has invested more than $1.1 million to support the more than 130 Rail District businesses, according to the release.
Bonus Cards are issued while program funding lasts, and the bonus cards will expire Sept. 20. Once funding runs out, only the standard gift cards remain available, which do not have an expiration date. Gift cards cannot be used for tobacco, vape or smoke products.
Quote of note
“The Rail District is entering an exciting new chapter as construction wraps up and downtown Frisco becomes more walkable, connected and family-friendly than ever before,” FCDC President Chad Brubaker said in the release. “The FCDC is proud to support the Gift Card matching program as a way to encourage the community to come back downtown, support local small businesses and enjoy the new atmosphere taking shape through the district.”
