City staff are set to spend over $750,000 on playground equipment for Lexington Park, a planned 7-acre community park west of Coit Road, according to city documents.
Frisco City Council approved the purchase order at a Feb. 17 meeting.

The backstory
Lexington Park will be part of the Lexington development on the southwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and Coit Road, according to the project website.
The park’s overall budget of $4.25 million will cover two playgrounds, shade structures, hike and bike trails, a multisport court and a large lawn, per a presentation given by city staff at a June community meeting last year.
The project is in the design phase, and construction on the hike and bike trail is expected to be complete by the end of the year, according to the city’s project dashboard.
