Freedom Fest, office closures, more Frisco Independence Day updates

Several city of Frisco offices will be closed July 3 and 4 for Independence Day. The city will also host its annual Freedom Fest to celebrate the holiday.

City Hall, municipal court and other administrative offices will be closed July 3.

Other closures include:

• Frisco Public Library closed July 3 and 4
• Connection at Stronebriar Centre closed July 3 and 4
• Frisco Discovery Center closed July 4
• Frisco Heritage Center closed July 3 and 4
• The Grove at Frisco Commons closed July 3 and 4
• Frisco Athletic Center will have modified hours, which can be found here

Trash and recycling will not be affected because the holiday falls on a Saturday.

The city will host Freedom Fest to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

Freedom Fest events start July 3 with Paws and Stripes at Kaleidoscope Park. Festivities will continue through July 4 with Frisco’s Block Party at Riders Fields from 5-10 p.m. The Party in the USA 5K will also be July 4 and will be held at Bacchus Community Park.

Fireworks will be displayed at Riders Field after the RoughRiders game against the Midland Rockhounds.
