Here are five new updates that have come from the Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission’s on Sept. 22 meeting.
Woof City final plat approved
Commission members approved a final plat for Woof City.
Woof City is a home-style dog boarding, daycare and grooming facility located on Main Street. The final plat conforms to a site plan approved by the planning commission in June, and required infrastructure has been installed, as city documents state the project nears completion.
Child care facility dropped
Commission members approved a request to rescind a specific use permit for a proposed drop-in child care center on a 0.8-acre property along Lebanon Road.
The permit was approved in 2008, but city documents state the property owner no longer plans to use the site for a child care center.
103-lot development withdrawn
The applicant for a proposed 103-lot residential development on 25.6 acres at the southwest corner of Hillcrest Road and PGA Parkway withdrew their preliminary plat.
The project included 24 single-family lots, 65 patio-home lots and 14 homeowners association lots. By rescinding the preliminary plat, city documents state the applicant requested “additional time to address staff’s comments and requests to withdraw this item.”
Medical office plans extended
Commission members approved a 30-day extension for a proposed medical office building on 5.6 acres along PGA Parkway, west of Heritage Way.
The extension gives the applicant additional time to make changes and address staff comments before it returns to the planning commission Oct. 13.
Two commercial buildings planned
Commission members approved a consent agenda item recommending approval for two commercial buildings on 6.2 acres at the southwest corner of Taft Powell Road and Main Street.
City documents state the project includes a restaurant, retail and professional office building and a separate retail building, with 14.3% of the site designated as open space.
