The University of North Texas is canceling all in-person classes March 16-22 in response to the coronavirus, according to a March 12 notice from UNT President Neal Smatresk.
The cancellations apply to all UNT at Frisco satellite campuses, including Hall Park, Inspire Park and the Collin Higher Education Center in McKinney.
The university will use this time to transition to online or alternative instructional delivery. By March 19, students will receive details about their classes via their UNT email.
There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus at UNT, Smatresk said in the notice; however, he said, cancellations are being made an effort to protect UNT’s community as cases of the illness arise in Collin, Dallas and Tarrant counties.
