Next fall, Frisco ISD will begin the process of changing attendance zones for the 2021-22 school year.
Rezoning will accommodate the upcoming openings of two FISD schools: Emerson High School, on the east side of the district in McKinney; and FISD’s 43rd elementary school, set to be located northeast of FM 423 and Rockhill Parkway, FISD Executive Director of Operations Scott Warstler said. Both schools are set to open in the fall of 2021.
Beyond the new schools opening, other factors, such as enrollment, could contribute to additional rezoning, Warstler said.
“We will do some additional cleaning up of current zones, if need be, based on some capacity concerns that we’re taking a look at with other campuses,” he said.
