Owners Bekim Miftari and Louie Kerimi opened Brunch at Lili’s in 2024 to support Kerimi’s daughter, Lili Kerimi.
Lydia Miftari, Miftari's wife, shared that the family keeps their motivation in mind at work each day.
“Every day when we drive up, we're here for Lili," Lydia Miftari said. “Every business has its ups and downs, no matter what industry you're in, and it just makes it a little bit sweeter when you know that that's what you're working towards.”
Must try menu items
One of the most popular dishes at Brunch at Lili’s is the cannoli pancakes.
The dish consists of buttermilk pancakes stuffed with cannoli cream and sprinkled with cannoli shells.
Additionally, Brunch at Lili's incorporates Swedish flavors. On the menu are their Swedish pancakes as well as the Swedish Blitz, pancakes stuffed with sweet cream filling and topped with strawberries.
The inspiration for this dish came from Miftari’s father’s first restaurant in Illinois.
“My dad’s first restaurant was in a predominantly Swedish neighborhood,” Lydia Miftari said. “And so he and the guy across the street would kind of swap recipes because he had a Swedish restaurant.”
Even though Lydia frequently updates the selections on the Brunch at Lili’s menu, the Swedish dishes remain some of the restaurant's bestsellers.
What else
Brunch at Lili’s strives to always create dishes that customers want.
“Our food is made to order so we don't have stuff that's mass produced and just sitting around in a cooler," Lydia Miftari said. “We customize it pretty much to whatever the customers want.”
In addition to brunch, the restaurant also serves a lunch menu with a variety of flavors.
Customer favorites are the breakfast burger served with a sunny side up egg and chipotle mayo, the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich, the reuben and the Mediterranean panini, Lydia Miftari said.
“Ultimately, we just want to be the place where people like, 'oh, let's go to breakfast and brunch,'" she said. “It just pops in their head because they know it's going to be consistently good.”
Staying local
Brunch at Lili’s commitment to Frisco extends beyond the kitchen.
“It's important as business owners that we don't just open our doors, but instead we contribute in other ways other than just making pancakes,” Lydia Miftari said. “Our pancakes are very good, for the record.”
Since opening in 2024, Brunch at Lili's has strived to become a part of the Frisco community. From working with Scottish Rite Hospital, the Live Like Knox Foundation and partnering with Frisco ISD schools, Brunch at Lili's has worked to become a Frisco staple.
“I really feel like [Dallas-Fort Worth] rallies around the small mom-and-pop shops because we really have become part of Frisco,” Lydia Miftari said.
Brunch at Lili’s success isn’t just measured in plates served, but in the growing circle of repeat customers who have become family, Lydia Miftari said.
“It's really cool when people come in and they know about Lili and they want to know what she's doing,” she said. “Not only that they're part of our lives, but that we're a part of theirs.”
For Miftari and Kerimi, every customer at Brunch at Lili’s helps secure the future they built this business to support.
“We're grateful to be here, and I'm so thankful for all the people that come in and make sure that we can continue to deliver our dream,” Lydia Miftari said.
