Part of a planned development in west Frisco was rezoned Nov. 1 to include an office district at the southwest corner of Stonebrook Parkway and Legacy Drive.
Frisco City Council approved the rezoning ordinance and directed City Manager Wes Pierson to execute a developer agreement with the property owner to establish building codes and material standards on the property. The 5.6-acre site was rezoned to allow for low-intensity office and professional uses.
The site was previously zoned for single-family lots with a specific-use permit for a licensed child care center. As neither of those lots have been developed, the applicant requested to rezone the site, according to a staff report.
The city’s future land use plan designates the site for suburban uses. The zoning request complied with the city’s future land use plan based on criteria provided by Frisco’s comprehensive plan, according to a Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission staff report.
