Strong winds in Frisco result in fence and tree damage, power outages

The city of Frisco was hit again overnight with storms. Though hail was not reported from last night's storms, strong winds did knock down fences and tree limbs.

Last night's storms left 11,000 in Frisco without power. Downed power lines were reported on eastbound Main Street.

The city activated its outdoor warning sirens, but some residents may not have heard the sirens following technical issues. According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms in North Central Texas may linger into this afternoon, though those storms are more likely to occur east of Bonham and Terrell. Storms could create damaging wind gusts, hail and an isolated tornado.
