“There’s traffic circles, roundabouts and modern roundabouts, and it’s really important to differentiate,” he said. “For example, the one in Waco that everyone had experience with is a traffic circle, and I agree 100 percent that’s not the safest traffic circle out there. But these [roundabouts] do move a lot of traffic, [and] they are safer.”

A roundabout is a one-way traffic circle at which vehicles travel counter-clockwise around a center island.

One caller asked about plans to relieve congestion at the Warren Parkway and Ohio Drive intersection. That intersection happens to be where the city is planning to install a roundabout. Just south of there, the city is also planning to install a roundabout at Gaylord Parkway and Ohio.
