In April 2020, Frisco residents found comfort at the curb of the newly opened Cookie Society, a boutique bakery made famous with its creative flavors and fun, friendly atmosphere.
Nearly two years later, the passion project of husband-and-wife co-owners Jeff and Marissa Allen has grown, opening its doors to hundreds of customers each week and seeing sales boom both in-store and through nationwide online orders. The bakery plans to take yet another big step early this year with the opening of a second store in Addison, the couple said.
Cookie Society is the result of Marissa Allen’s quest to make the ultimate cookie recipe. She describes it as a perfect alchemy of texture, quality ingredients and creative flavors. Customers are treated to a rotating menu of unique cookie creations, from banana pudding to red velvet cheesecake to special seasonal treats. To date, the bakery has introduced roughly 100 new cookie flavors, with a brand new flavor added to the mix almost every month, Marissa Allen said.
“I know some people go to their favorite bakery because they’re always going to get their favorite item, but we want to provide that experience for you to find a new favorite every single time you come in.” she said. “I think that sets us apart.”
