Here are five businesses that have closed in Frisco this spring and summer.
1. Aveda
Aveda offered health and beauty services and body care. It offered products for hair, skin and more. Aveda products will still be available online.
2. The Community Grill
The Community Grill had been open since 2017 and had been through several changes in ownership before deciding to close its doors on July 5. The Community Grill served scratch made comfort food and drinks as well as hosting a variety of local events.
3. Cow Tipping Creamery
Founding restaurant at The Star, Cow Tipping Creamery announced on a Facebook post that it officially closed in July. Cow Tipping Creamery opened at The Star in 2017 as one of the original restaurants. The reason for closing is unknown.
4. Painted Tree Boutiques
All locations ceased operations April 14 and are now permanently closed, the representative said. Painted Tree Boutiques hosted a variety of boutique shops selling gifts, home decor and fashion merchandise, according to the company’s website. Shop owners with inventory at the stores are encouraged to retrieve their items as soon as possible.
5. Uncle Julio's
The restaurant's voicemail said the location closed because of "lease related circumstances." The Frisco location first opened in April 2024. It served fish tacos, vegetable fajitas, carne asada, honey chipotle salmon, quesadillas and more. Uncle Julio's has locations in Allen and Dallas.
