Here are 10 businesses that are now open, coming soon or recently closed in south Frisco.

1. CaratLane
The India-based fine jewelry brand location in Frisco is CaratLane’s second location in the U.S., following a location in New Jersey. Founded in 2008, CaratLane sells a variety of rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants, according to its website.
2. Robo Shawarma
The eatery opened May 19, according to a social media post by the business. Robo Shawarma’s menu features freshly carved shawarma wraps and plates.

3. 33 Peaks Café
The business was established in 2024 in Southlake, according to a May 18 news release from the Shops at Starwood. The cafe will be located in a 1,174 square-foot space at Shops at Starwood. The new Frisco site will mark its second location overall in the metroplex. The coffee shop offers coffee products, cold drinks, pastries, smoothie, sandwiches and more, according to its website.
4. KidsUnited
There are currently 30 open locations nationwide with 33 coming soon, according to the businesses website. The Frisco location will open in May and feature indoor turf, practice equipment, and a waiting area for parents.
5. Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt
Construction on the new yogurt shop location is scheduled to start this August, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt offers self-serve yogurt with a wide range of flavors and toppings. The menu also features cakes and acai bowls, according to its website.
6. Sourdough & Co.
The chain offers sandwiches, flatbreads, salads and a rotating selection of soups.
7. Sushi Sakana
Co-owner James Park said the new location is projected to open in September. Sushi Sakana offers a range of fresh sushi, sashimi, nigiri and more. Popular menu items include miso soup, crab rangoons and the signature ahi tower.
8. Sweet Stacks
The restaurant's menu features a variety of items, including soufflé pancakes, Thai noodle dishes and fried rice. Drink options include Thai tea and matcha with various flavors and add-ins. Sweet Stacks currently operates a location in Fort Worth at 1515 W. Magnolia Ave.
9. Yummy Crab
The chain offers crab legs, shrimp and crawfish by the pound alongside southern seafood dishes like hush puppies and fried catfish.

10. Uncle Julio's
The restaurant's voicemail said the location closed because of "lease related circumstances." The Frisco location first opened in April 2024. It served fish tacos, vegetable fajitas, carne asada, honey chipotle salmon, quesadillas and more. Uncle Julio's has locations in Allen and Dallas.
