From serving dancers and student athletes to touring Broadway performers, Bravo Physio & Wellness aims to help active individuals recover from injuries and enhance their performance.
Julia Buckelew, physical therapist and dance medicine specialist, founded the business in 2021 and opened a Frisco location in 2023.
The history
Bravo Physio & Wellness offers physical therapy and wellness services for performing artists, athletes and active individuals of all backgrounds.
Buckelew said dance has always been a “core staple” throughout her life.
“Every step that I’ve taken along my career has been to develop my skill set to support this community because it is wildly underserved,” Buckelew said.
What they offer
Buckelew said Bravo Physio has grown into a multidisciplinary wellness clinic offering physical therapy, massage therapy, personal training and pilates. The business currently has a staff of four physical therapists and works with Taylored Nutrition to offer specialized nutrition coaching services.
Bravo Physio also uses DARI Motion technology, an eight-camera markerless system, to evaluate performance capacity and help prevent future injuries.
The business offers 30- to 90-minute sessions with both in-person and telehealth options available. Buckelew said while the business focuses on injury prevention and recovery, they also work to help clients rebuild confidence after injuries.
Buckelew said clients of all ages often travel from across Texas for treatment, and the business also treats touring Broadway performers while tours stop in Dallas through the Neuro Tour program.
“Seeing all of our clients reach their goals is very meaningful and rewarding," Buckelew said. "It’s why we do the work that we do."
Buckelew also operates a satellite location in North Dallas at 8215 Westchester Drive, Ste. 135.
