Lewisville ISD officials received guaranteed maximum prices for campus improvement projects at eight campuses, totaling $112.5 million in renovations. Trustees will vote to approve the projects at the next trustee meeting Feb. 9.

A report from LISD Executive Construction Director Randy Fite shows Flower Mound and Hebron Valley elementary schools and Lewisville High School Killough received maximum prices for their 20-year renovation projects. Flower Mound Elementary will receive about $18.3 million in renovations, and Hebron Valley Elementary will undergo roughly $16.4 million in renovations. Lewisville High School Killough will get just over $34 million in renovations and repairs.
Fite noted that the Flower Mound Elementary renovation came in roughly $1.7 million over budget, while the Hebron Valley renovation came in about $2.7 million under budget.
The Flower Mound Elementary renovations went over budget due to heating, ventilation and air conditioning improvements, which require additional structural support, Fite said. Added costs also include relocating playground equipment out of a floodplain and installing a new front entrance canopy at the student drop-off and pick-up area.
The Lewisville High School Killough renovation came in roughly $2.8 million under budget, per Fite’s report.
“I would commend the design team, we had a lot of design meetings,” Fite said. “The budget for LHS Killough is very large, and so small things that you can do to save money just add up more on a very large project.”
What else?
Rockbrook and Vickery elementary schools also received guaranteed maximum prices for their 20-year maintenance projects. Rockbrook’s renovations are projected to cost about $16.8 million, and Vickery’s renovations will cost about $15 million.
Also of note
Timber Creek Elementary’s roof repair received a guaranteed maximum price of about $2.7 million. The work is scheduled to take place over the summer, Fite said.
Marcus and Flower Mound high schools both received guaranteed maximum prices for baseball and softball locker room additions. The Marcus locker room addition will cost about $3.3 million, and the Flower Mound High School baseball and softball locker rooms will cost roughly $5.7 million. The locker room additions will start construction after the 2026 season, Fite said.
Looking ahead
All of the renovation and repair projects will appear on the consent agenda for the Feb. 9 trustee meeting, Fite said.
