Austin ISD celebrated a dirt-turning ceremony May 20 for the full modernization of Andrews Elementary School, a $38.86 million project funded by the district's 2022 bond, according to the Austin ISD bond website.
The overview
The new campus, built at Andrews' current location at 6801 Northeast Drive in Northeast Austin, will feature flexible learning spaces, outdoor learning areas and a secure entry vestibule, according to a district community presentation. FGMA Architects is designing the project, and Rogers-O'Brien Construction is the contractor, per the bond website.

Andrews is one of 25 full or partial modernization projects—full replacement campuses or major renovations—funded by the 2022 bond, according to the bond website.
