Wava Halal Grill opened near the corner of Fry Street and Avenue A by the University of North Texas in late April, a company representative said.
Wava offers halal and Mediterranean food, like lamb, chicken, beef and falafel gyros, as well as platters with meat, rice and salad, according to the company’s menu.
The restaurant also has desserts and soft drinks on the menu.
Wava Halal Grill's Denton restaurant is the third location in Dallas-Fort Worth. There are also storefronts in Dallas and Richardson. All of the company’s sauces are made in-house at the Richardson location, the representative said.
