With the weather warming up, many patios in Denton are available for families to enjoy a bite to eat, have a refreshing beverage and let their kids play. Here are three kid-friendly patios that offer entertainment, diverse menu options and a variety of beer and cocktail options.

Shuck Me
Known for its coastal seafood fare, the restaurant has a sand pit area and playground on its grounds, along with picnic-style outdoor seating. Shuck Me has a full beer and cocktail menu, along with food items such as po'boys, fried seafood baskets, tacos, fajitas and oysters. They also have a kids' menu with fried shrimp, catfish, chicken tenders and a variety of sides.
Union Bear Brewing Co.
At the brewery's Denton location, children are welcome inside and on the patio, where there are two dart boards for a friendly game. Inside the brewery, there are also two arcade games and a pool table. The brewery is known for its Texas-brewed beers and full cocktail bar and offers a menu with handmade pizzas, burgers, appetizers, such as pretzel bites, and desserts. There is also a kids' menu offering pasta, pizza and chicken tenders.
East Side Denton
While East Side operates as a bar, the expansive patio and food trucks make this space a kid-friendly destination until 9 p.m., when it becomes a 21-and-up spot. There are several rotating food trucks on site for meals, desserts and snacks, in addition to the bar's expansive beer and cocktail menu. East Side has an events calendar that shows when kid-friendly movies are screening. The venue will show Halloween movies on its big screen on the patio during Halloween and Christmas movies in December.
