A senior community in McKinney will get a new pool and fitness center, and a new car wash is coming to Denton. Check out these five permits filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation around the metroplex. This list is not comprehensive.
1. Texas Health Resources expansion
Hospital chain Texas Health will expand its Frisco campus with a four-story medical office building, according to a TDLR filing. The building will cover 116,412 square feet and go up adjacent to the existing hospital. Texas Health operates 24 hospitals in North Texas, according to the company’s website.

2. Pool and fitness center
The Touchmark at Emerald Lake senior community will receive a new pool and fitness center, according to TDLR documents. The new fitness center will be one story and cover about 8,400 square feet, according to the documents.

3. DFW Airport Fire Station and Police Expansion
TDLR documents show Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Station 4 at DFW Airport will receive renovations to accommodate an office building, and the existing K9 and explosive ordinance disposal facility at the airport will receive 10 new dog kennels. The projects cover 25,000 square feet and will cost nearly $5 million.

4. Club Car Wash
A new Club Car Wash will start construction along I-35E in early October, TDLR documents state. The business offers car washes and provides self-serve vacuums and interior cleaning supplies. Club Carwash also has several membership tiers. The $2 million project is scheduled to wrap up in April 2027.

5. Auto body shop renovations
The Crash Champions location on Port America Place will receive an interior renovation and a new facade, according to TDLR documents. Crash Champions offers auto body repair services, including dent repair, glass repair and painting.
