The Denton County Commissioners Court approved permits for Denton Community Market and the Denton County Farmers Market at its Jan. 29 regular meeting.

Denton County Farmer's Market will operate every Saturday beginning March 1-Nov. 28 from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. at to operate every Saturday at the Historical Park parking lot, according to court documents.
The permit allows Denton County Farmer's Market to operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June to November, as well. The Tuesday and Thursday dates are to accommodate the growing season, according to court documents.
Denton Community Market will have its spring market launch date March 7, which will run every Saturday through Dec. 20 from 9 a.m.-1-p.m. It is still is operating its winter market off 321 E. McKinney Street until Feb. 28, then will return to that location for the spring market.
Denton Community Market will also have two Sunday markets May 3 and Dec. 20. Those hours of operation will be 1 p.m.-4p.m.
The backstory
Denton Community Market was founded in 2009 and is a nonprofit producer-only farmers and art market in downtown Denton, according to its website.
Vendor items include ceramics, candles, soaps, candy, baked goods and a variety of food and beverage items. A full list of the 2026 vendors can be found on Denton Community Market's website.
Denton County Farmers Market sells locally sourced produce, jewelry, artisan goods, baked goods, craft items and more.
Historical Park, where Denton County Farmers Market is located, is at the corner of Carroll Boulevard and Mulberry Street in downtown Denton.
