The specifics
The construction project on Floyd will span from Belt Line Road to the US 75 frontage road.
The construction is part of the city’s annual street maintenance program, and will include replacement of sections of the road’s pavement.
Initially, southbound lanes from Floyd to Scottsdale Drive will be closed from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and additional lane closures will be instituted as the work continues south. During the initial phase of construction, southbound Floyd will be closed at Belt Line and drivers will need to detour using South Weatherred Drive or South Lindale Lane.

The work is expected to last between six and eight weeks.
