Unofficial election results on June 5 show Christopher J. Poteet won the Richardson ISD board of trustees at-large Place 7 runoff election.

All 216 precincts in Dallas County have reported.

Poteet won the race with 56.49% of the votes to Amanda Clair's 43.51% of the votes. Poteet is a civil engineer, and Clair is an educational consultant and an academic director. The at-large Place 7 position is currently held by Kim Caston, who decided not to seek another term.

Poteet received the most votes in the May 1 election for the seat with 36.2% followed by Amanda Clair's 27.5%. As none of the seven candidates in that race received at least 50% of the votes cast, the two candidates moved on to the runoff election.
