Old 75 Beer Garden will host its grand opening April 21-23 in Richardson. The 16,000-square-foot dining and entertainment plaza, which is located in the Richardson Restaurant Park at 740 S. Central Expressway, soft opened April 3.

“Old 75 embodies the pride of Texas with Matthew McConaughey backyard vibes—cool, casual and designed to simply unwind no matter the occasion—and we hope guests enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it,” said Kirk Hermansen, owner and founder of Old 75 Beer Garden, in a press release.

Throughout the grand opening weekend, Old 75 will feature a variety of live music, special deals and giveaways.

The event space includes indoor and outdoor seating at two bars, known as the Drink Bar and the Tap Bar, that will serve 34 beers and six specialty drinks on tap alongside a variety of canned and bottled beverages. Old 75's kitchen offers a handcrafted menu rooted in South Texas flavors with a New Mexican twist, including green chili queso, a blackened chicken sandwich and candied bacon.

Other features of the event space include picnic tables, a fire pit with seating, cabanas, and space for a food truck, according to Hermansen.

In addition to live music most nights, Old 75 Beer Garden will host pop-ups and events throughout the year, including backyard barbecues, crawfish boils and a steak night. Ownership said dogs and children are welcome at events. However, children are required to be seated or accompanied by an adult at all times. The space is only open to those age 21 and older after 8 p.m. every night. For more information on the grand opening celebration, click here.
