North Texas drivers may experience travel delays this weekend due to an Ironman triathlon.
About 2,500 athletes are expected to visit Little Elm and nearby communities for the multipart swim, bike and run competition, according to a social media post from the Prosper Police Department.

Several roadways in Prosper, Celina and Frisco are set to see delays, primarily for the cycling portion of the race.
No roads will be fully closed, but drivers should expect to see traffic delays starting at 7 a.m. and continuing until 2:30 p.m., according to the post.
Roadway delays that may impact drivers in Prosper and Celina include:
- Dallas Parkway
- First Street
- Gee Road
- FM 455
- FM 428
Frisco residents are also set to see several delays on FM 423 and Woodlake Parkway.
