A new 287,850-square-foot mixed-use development is under consideration in Prosper.
Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a conceptual plan for the development at their April 14 meeting.
What you need to know
The 38.5-acre development is located in the northeast corner of the Coit Road and University Drive intersection.
Town planner Jerron Hicks said the property currently has a base retail zoning, and one tract has a conceptual plan, while several other tracts do not.
Approval of a conceptual plan for the remaining tracts is required prior to submitting a preliminary site plan, Hicks said.
Zooming in
The proposal includes 18 buildings with a full-service hotel, office buildings and several restaurant and retail buildings, according to city documents.
Commissioner Josh Carson said he likes the amount of planned restaurant space but would want more information about what it would look like as the development progresses.
One more thing
The project would also add a future new road running through the center of the development, per city documents.
