Prosper residents can expect to see road closures at First Street and Artesia Boulevard through mid-November, according to a social media post by the town.

The closures will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and are expected to last four to six weeks. Construction began Oct. 17, according to the post.

Some context

Prosper officials approved the installation of two new crosswalks near Richland High School, including one at First Street, at their Aug. 26 meeting.

The new crosswalks will include:

• Prairie Road crosswalk: Will connect the Lakes of Legacy neighborhood to the northern side of Prairie Road
• First Street crosswalk: Will connect Artesia Boulevard to First Street
