Prosper
1. Prosper Trail screening
Project: The project will design and install screening elements along Prosper Trail from Preston Road to Deer Run Lane.
Update: Construction is underway, and the contractor is working on completing electrical work for irrigation work.

- Cost: $1.14 million
Project: The park will include pickleball and tennis courts, baseball fields, batting cages, multi-use fields, a playground and a garden.
Update: Prosper Town Council recently approved additional funding for the park, which is expected to open this winter.

- Timeline: winter 2022-winter 2025/2026
- Cost: $26.49 million
Project: The 2.5-acre park will include a small playground and picnic tables, in addition to the existing small pond and open green space.
Update: Prosper Planning and Zoning Commissioners approved a site plan and final plat for the park at an Oct. 7 meeting.

- Timeline: summer 2025-summer 2026
- Cost: $800,000
Project: This project will connect a trail at The Preserve at Doe Creek to the Doe Branch Trail and is planned to include two pedestrian bridges.
Update: Prosper Town Council approved a $312,116 construction contract in October for sections of the trail connections.

- Timeline: summer 2024-summer 2026
- Cost: $2 million
Project: This playground, built in partnership by the Prosper Economic Development Corp. and the town of Prosper, will be a regional park for people with disabilities.
Update: Town Council approved the $2 million purchase of inclusive playground equipment at a Nov. 25 meeting.

6. Wilson Creek Park
Project: The 100-acre park is planned to include baseball diamonds, multiuse fields, pickleball courts, playgrounds and a nine-hole disc golf course.
Update: Construction of the park’s first phase began in September and will cost about $12.2 million.
- Location: Roseland Parkway and East Sunset Boulevard, Celina
- Timeline: fall 2025-summer 2026
- Cost: $50 million
Project: The 9-acre park will follow the Doe Branch corridor near downtown Celina.
Update: The park is currently under construction and is estimated to complete in fall 2026.
