Jacob Vaughn joined Community Impact in October 2024 as a government reporter in the North Texas area. Previously, Jacob worked as a staff writer at the Dallas Observer covering local government, police, housing and homelessness. Before that, he worked as the editor-in-chief of Dallas College’s award-winning student newspaper, The Brookhaven Courier.
