Dave's Hot Chicken opened April 22 at 1709 Preston Road, Ste. A, Plano. The fast-casual restaurant specializes in hot chicken tenders and sliders along with sides, such as french fries, kale slaw, and macaroni and cheese. The eatery's chicken is offered at seven different spice levels that range from "No Spice" to "Reaper," which requires a signed waiver to order, according to a company news release.

“Dave’s Hot Chicken will blow your mind,” Dave’s Hot Chicken CEO Bill Phelps said in a statement. “Every tender is hot, juicy and spicy.”

The chain's newest location is next to Starbucks in the Preston Shepard Place shopping center. The restaurant offers indoor seating and features custom artwork and murals inside that reference the company’s “out of this world” food and parking lot origins, according to the release.

"Our founders started Dave’s as a parking lot pop-up restaurant in Hollywood with a portable fryer and picnic tables from their backyards just four short years ago," Phelps said. "We are ecstatic to be opening our newest restaurant in Plano!"
