Plano ISD Director of Athletics Jeff Smith has left for the same role at Prosper ISD.

Smith served as Plano ISD’s athletic director for four years, and recently accepted an offer to return to Prosper ISD, according to a news release from Plano ISD.

Smith was hired from Prosper ISD in February 2020, where he previously served as assistant athletic director.

Smith spearheaded the vertical alignment of all Plano ISD senior high school mascots and school colors with their feeder schools in 2023, according to the release. The district also added a sixth grade preathletics program during Smith’s tenure.
